In a bit of political theatre the likes we havn't seen since Bill Clinton saxed off on Letterman, Stephen Harper tore down the house in Ottawa in ways that were both surprising and expected.
Labeled a policy wonk and a closed man with a hidden agenda Stephen Harper is proving his critics wrong.
In one deft, self deprecating, brilliant move, he has closed the humanity gap and cornered both Jack and Iffy.
That's the man I want running the show.

WOW!!!! Angry and Humourless??
Well he smashed that label!
"I think when ordinary working people come home, turn on the TV and see a gala of a bunch of people at, you know, a rich gala all subsidized by taxpayers claiming their subsidies aren't high enough, when they know those subsidies have actually gone up – I'm not sure that's something that resonates with ordinary people," Harper said in Saskatoon, where he was campaigning for the Oct. 14 election.
Not that it is that important but it was the Arsenio Hall Show where Bill Clinton played the Sax.
Aside from a couple of uber Liberal partisans anyone who watches that will have a smile on their face.
An in your face slam dunk for the PM!
'That's the man I want running the show.'
Should say 'women', it was Laureen Harper's idea, the strategists were very nervous about it!

I stand corrected.
And still smiling.

No doubt Mrs Harper was the catalyst, that said, it took a lot of guts to pull it off. I love it!

Hey, glad you're back. Haven't read anything from you since May.

Thanks. I'm only sporadically back in the game as the practical, prosperous and painful realities of life continue to demand most of my attention.
That said, I did notice something interesting today and will be posting forthwith.
